# The Global Table I believe human dignity thrives when we build bridges across our differences through dialogue, empathy, and our shared humanity. In The Global Table, I bring together six people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, gathered closely around a single round table, sharing a peaceful and harmonious meal. The act of breaking bread and sharing food serves as a powerful, universal symbol of absolute equality and mutual respect. Set against a dramatic backdrop of towering, monumental rock formations, this community finds shelter from the chaos and division of the world outside. This secular sanctuary illustrates Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: that we are all endowed with reason and conscience, and should act toward one another in a spirit of true brotherhood.
